Joe DeLamielleure Autographs
Joe DeLamielleure is a former American football player born on March 16, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan. He is best known for his career as an offensive guard in the National Football League (NFL) from 1973 to 1985. He started playing football at Western Michigan University and was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the 1973 NFL Draft as the 26th overall pick.
DeLamielleure played for the Buffalo Bills for 11 seasons and was a five-time Pro Bowl selection from 1975 to 1979. He was a key member of the offensive line that helped lead the Bills to four consecutive AFC Championship games from 1988 to 1981. He was known for his toughness and strong work ethics, qualities that made him a revered player on the team. He was also named to the NFL All-Pro Team six times and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2003.
After leaving the Bills, DeLamielleure played for the Cleveland Browns in 1985 before retiring at the end of the season. He finished his NFL career having played in 185 games, with 153 games starting consecutively, and only eight at any point of his career the only typical deduction for his playing time because of injuries. DeLamielleure was known for his remarkable durability, work ethics, and commitment to his team. He is considered one of the greatest offensive linemen in NFL history and a true legend of the game.
