Kyle Orton was a prominent American football quarterback known for playing in the National Football League (NFL) for over a decade. He was born on November 14, 1982, in Altoona, Iowa, United States, and attended Purdue University, where he played as a quarterback for the Boilermakers football team. His impressive performance led to his selection by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft.
Orton's NFL career started with the Bears in 2005, where he played for three seasons, and helped the team secure the National Football Conference (NFC) Championship game in his rookie year. In 2009, he was traded to the Denver Broncos, where he played for two seasons and recorded more than 3,000 passing yards in each season. He then played for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills before retiring in 2015. Orton recorded a total of 18,037 passing yards, 101 touchdowns, and 69 interceptions in his NFL career, with a quarterback rating of 79.4.
Apart from his professional career, Orton was also known for his philanthropic works, particularly with the Kyle Orton Foundation.
