Marv LevyMarv Levy was born on August 3, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, he developed a passion for American football and played as a running back for his high school team. After serving in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, he attended the Coe College in Iowa, where he continued playing football and developing his skills as a player and coach.
Levy's football career started in 1950 when he became an assistant coach at Coe College. He then moved on to coach at various colleges and universities such as New Mexico, California, and the United States Military Academy at West Point.
