Robert Meachem Autographs
Robert Meachem is a former American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons. He was born on September 28, 1984, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Meachem attended Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, where he was a star on the football team, winning the city's player of the year award in his senior year. He then went on to play for the University of Tennessee, where he played for four years and helped the Tennessee Volunteers win two Southeastern Conference championships.
Meachem was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He spent most of his career with the Saints, where he became a key part of the team's dynamic offense. In 2009, he had his best season, catching 45 passes for 722 yards and nine touchdowns. He also helped the Saints win their first-ever Super Bowl that year, catching a touchdown in the game. Meachem also played for the San Diego Chargers and the Tennessee Titans during his career, but was ultimately forced to retire in 2016 due to a lingering ankle injury.
Despite his relatively short career, Meachem was known for his speed and ability to make big plays. He finished his career with 178 catches for 2,914 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also played a key role in the Saints' Super Bowl run in 2009 and his contributions to the team are still remembered by fans today. Off the field, Meachem is known for his philanthropy work, starting the Robert Meachem Reach Foundation in 2008, which aims to help underprivileged children in his hometown of Tulsa.
