Ryan Clark is a retired American football safety who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 seasons. He was born on October 12, 1979, in Marrero, Louisiana, and attended Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero. He went on to play college football at Louisiana State University, where he was a two-time All-SEC selection and helped lead the Tigers to a national championship in 2003. More about Ryan Clark

In 2002, Ryan Clark was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Giants but was released before the regular season. Later that year, he signed with the Washington Redskins and spent two seasons with the team. In 2004, he joined the Pittsburgh Steelers and played for them until 2013, winning two Super Bowl championships in 2005 and 2008. Clark was known for his hard-hitting tackling style and his ability to defend against the pass. He was named as a Pro Bowl alternate three times during his career in 2011, 2012, and 2013.

After retiring from football in 2015, Ryan Clark became a football analyst for ESPN, where he appears on various shows such as NFL Live, SportsCenter, and College Football Live. He also serves as a commentator for SEC Network games. In addition to his work in television, Clark is active in various charitable organizations, including the Ryan Clark’s Cure League, which raises money for sickle cell research. Overall, Ryan Clark’s career in American football was a successful one, and he continues to be a valued voice in the football community.
