Sedrick Ellis Autographs
Sedrick Ellis was born on November 12, 1985, in Chino, California. He attended Chino High School, where he was a standout football player. Ellis was a two-way player in high school, playing as a defensive tackle and offensive lineman. He was rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals.com and was considered one of the top defensive tackle recruits in the country. In 2003, he was named a Parade All-American.
Ellis attended the University of Southern California (USC), where he played college football for the Trojans. He played in 49 games for USC and recorded 144 tackles, 28 sacks, and three blocked kicks. In 2006, he was named a first-team All-American by the Associated Press and was the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year. Ellis was also a member of the USC team that won the Rose Bowl in 2007 and 2008.
Ellis was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the first round (seventh overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played for the Saints for five seasons and was a member of the team that won Super Bowl XLIV. Ellis played in 70 games for the Saints, recording 173 tackles and 12.5 sacks. In 2013, he signed with the Chicago Bears but did not play in any games for the team, and he announced his retirement from football in 2014.
