Tajh Boyd Autographs
Tajh Boyd is a former American Football quarterback who played college football for the Clemson Tigers. Boyd was born on September 25, 1990, in Hampton, Virginia. He attended Phoebus High School, where he set Virginia high school records for career total offense (13,066 yards), career passing yards (11,364), and career passing touchdowns (117). Boyd was ranked as the sixth-best dual-threat quarterback in the country by Rivals.com.
Boyd played college football for the Clemson Tigers from 2009 to 2013. In his freshman season, he was the backup quarterback but was named the starter for the 2010 season. Boyd set a Clemson single-season record with 33 touchdown passes and led the Tigers to a 6-2 record in the ACC. He finished the season with 3,828 passing yards, 33 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Boyd had a career year in 2012, throwing for 3,896 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions en route to being named the ACC Player of the Year. In his final season at Clemson, Boyd threw for 3,851 yards, 34 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He finished his college career with 11,904 passing yards, 107 touchdowns, and 39 interceptions.
Boyd was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2014 but was waived during preseason. He then signed with the Florida Blacktips of the Fall Experimental Football League but was released after two games. Boyd signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2015 but was released during the team's final roster cuts. He played briefly in the Canadian Football League for the Montreal Alouettes before retiring from football in 2016. Despite not making it in the NFL, Boyd's college career cemented him as one of the greatest quarterbacks in Clemson history, and he remains a beloved figure in the Clemson community.
