Tom Jackson is a former American football linebacker who spent his entire 14-year career with the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on April 4, 1951, in Lockport, Louisiana, and attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Jackson was widely regarded as one of the best linebackers of his generation, and he was a key component of the "Orange Crush" defense that led the Broncos to their first-ever Super Bowl berth in 1977. Jackson was selected by the Broncos in the fourth round of the 1973 NFL Draft, and he quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with. He was known for his tough, physical style of play, as well as his ability to diagnose plays and make tackles. Jackson was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and was named to the All-Pro team four times in his career.
