Tracy Porter Autographs
Tracy Porter is an American former professional football player who played as a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). Born on August 11, 1986, in Port Allen, Louisiana, Porter's football career began in high school, where he played for the Port Allen Pelicans. He went on to play college football at Indiana University, where he recorded nine interceptions, 200 tackles, and a touchdown in his career. Porter was selected by the New Orleans Saints as the 40th overall pick in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
Porter gained national recognition during his NFL career, particularly during the Saints' Super Bowl XLIV run in 2009. In the final quarter of the Super Bowl game against the Indianapolis Colts, Porter intercepted a pass from quarterback Peyton Manning and returned it for a touchdown, sealing the Saints' 31-17 victory. Porter's interception is considered one of the most memorable plays in the history of the Super Bowl, and he was subsequently named the game's MVP.
Porter went on to play for several other teams in the NFL, including the Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Washington Redskins, Chicago Bears, and the Carolina Panthers. He retired from the NFL in 2018 after playing for 10 seasons. Throughout his career, Porter earned several accolades, including a Pro Bowl selection in 2009 and was named to the All-Rookie Team in 2008. Tracy Porter's legacy in the NFL is defined by his tenacity as a cornerback and his clutch performances in crucial games, particularly his Super Bowl interception.
