Will Allen was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1982, and he attended Springfield High School where he played high school football. After graduating from high school in 2000, he moved on to Ohio State University, where he continued to play football. During his college career, Allen was a standout safety for the Buckeyes, and he was named to the All-Big Ten teams in both 2002 and 2003. More about Will Allen

After graduating from Ohio State in 2005, Allen was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fourth round of the NFL draft. He played for the Buccaneers from 2005 to 2009, and during that time, he started 67 games and recorded 389 tackles, five interceptions, and two sacks. In 2010, Allen signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he played for two seasons before he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys in 2013.
