Chris Kunitz Autographs
Chris Kunitz is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who spent 15 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). Kunitz was born on September 26, 1979, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. He played his junior hockey with the Melville Millionaires of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) before being recruited to play for Ferris State University in Michigan, where he played from 1999 to 2003.
Kunitz began his NHL career in 2003 as an undrafted free agent with the Anaheim Ducks. He quickly established himself as a hard-working forward with a knack for scoring goals. Kunitz played four seasons with the Ducks and won his first Stanley Cup with them in 2007. He then went on to play for the Pittsburgh Penguins from 2008 to 2018, where he won three more Stanley Cups. During his time with the Penguins, Kunitz played alongside some of the best players in the game, including Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, and established himself as one of the team's most reliable and consistent players.
After leaving the Penguins, Kunitz played one season with the Tampa Bay Lightning before announcing his retirement from professional hockey in July 2019. Throughout his career, Kunitz was known for his toughness, work ethic, and tenacity on the ice. He scored a total of 268 goals and 619 points in 1,022 NHL games and was widely regarded as one of the league's top players in the playoffs, where he scored 27 goals and 66 points in 178 games. Kunitz's legacy as a hard-working, clutch performer will be remembered for many years to come in the hockey world.
