Craig Adams is a former professional ice hockey player, having played for over a decade in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on April 26, 1977, in Seria, Brunei. Despite being born abroad, Adams was raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where he began playing organized hockey at a young age. After retiring from professional hockey in 2015, Adams remained involved with the sport by working as a consultant for the Penguins and as an analyst for NBC Sports. In addition to his on-ice accomplishments, Adams is also known for his charitable work. He was a finalist for the NHL's King Clancy Memorial Trophy in 2012, an award given to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities both on and off the ice, and he founded the Craig Adams Foundation, which provides support to charities in Pittsburgh and his hometown of Calgary.
