Dale Hawerchuk Autographs
Dale Hawerchuk is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player, born on April 4, 1963, in Toronto, Ontario. He played for 16 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for several teams, including the Winnipeg Jets, Buffalo Sabres, St. Louis Blues, and Philadelphia Flyers.
Hawerchuk was drafted first overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. He quickly became the team's star player, leading them to the playoffs six times and winning the Calder Trophy as the NHL's top rookie in 1982. Hawerchuk was named to the NHL All-Star team five times and won the Lester B. Pearson Award in 1982. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001.
Despite his success on the ice, Hawerchuk never won a Stanley Cup during his playing career. After retiring from the NHL in 1997, he continued his involvement in hockey, working as a coach and general manager for various teams, including the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Hawerchuk passed away in August 2020 after a battle with stomach cancer. His impact on the game of hockey was significant, and he will always be remembered as one of the NHL's greatest players.
