Danny Briere is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who had an impressive career that spanned for 17 years. He was born on October 6, 1977, in Gatineau, Quebec. Briere was selected 24th overall by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. He was also awarded the Bill Masterton Trophy in 2003 for his perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey. Briere retired in 2015 after finishing his final season with the Colorado Avalanche.
