David Perron is a professional ice hockey player from Canada, currently playing as a forward for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on May 28, 1988, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Perron began playing hockey at a young age in his hometown. He spent three seasons playing for the Lewiston Maineiacs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League before he was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the first round (26th overall) of the NHL Entry Draft in 2007. Perron made his NHL debut with the Blues in 2007, and in his rookie season, he was impressive with 13 goals and 14 assists in 62 games. Over the next few years, Perron became a key player for the Blues, with career-best stats in the 2013-14 season with 28 goals and 29 assists in 78 games. After eight seasons, he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers in 2013, where he played for two seasons before he was traded back to the Blues in 2016.

Perron has remained an important player for the Blues, playing a crucial role in their 2018-19 Stanley Cup-winning season. In the postseason, he was the team's second-leading scorer with 16 points in 26 games, including scoring the game-winning goal in the deciding Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Over his NHL career, Perron has played in over 800 games, scoring more than 200 goals and assisting on over 300.
