Belfour's passion for ice hockey started when he was young. He would play in various minor leagues in Canada before he got his big break in the NHL. Belfour is best remembered for his role in leading the Dallas Stars to the Stanley Cup championship in 1999. While he played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Belfour won the Calder Memorial Trophy for his exceptional performance as a goaltender in his rookie season in 1991.
