Erik Johnson is a professional ice hockey defenseman from the United States of America. Born on March 21, 1988, in Bloomington, Minnesota, Johnson began his hockey career at a young age. He played for his high school team and was among the top-performing players in the state.
After his successful high school career, Johnson was drafted first overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He spent the following years with the Blues and proved to be an asset in the team. In 2011, Johnson was traded to the Colorado Avalanche, where he continued to shine. He served as an alternate captain for the team and played a crucial role in their playoff push in the 2017-2018 season.
Throughout his NHL career, Johnson has garnered numerous accolades, including being selected to the NHL All-Star Game in 2015.
