Kevin Dineen Autographs
Kevin Dineen was born on October 28, 1963, in Quebec City, Canada. He is a retired professional ice hockey player and coach who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for over 18 years. Dineen was known for his tenacity and grit on the ice and his leadership skills in the locker room.
Dineen began his NHL career with the Hartford Whalers in 1984 after being selected 56th overall in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. He played with the Whalers for 11 seasons and served as the team's captain for six years. During his time with the Whalers, Dineen scored 355 goals and tallied 405 assists, making him the team's all-time leader in both categories. He also played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes, Ottawa Senators, and Columbus Blue Jackets.
After retiring from playing, Dineen transitioned into coaching. He began as an assistant coach with the AHL's Portland Pirates and was eventually promoted to head coach. In 2011, he was named head coach of the NHL's Florida Panthers, leading them to the playoffs in his second season. He later coached the Canadian Women's National Team to a gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Currently, Dineen is an assistant coach with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
