Mike Grier is a former American professional ice hockey player, famously known for his strong and skillful play on the ice. He was born on January 5, 1975, in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, where he began his hockey career. Grier’s love for hockey began at an early age, and he quickly developed a reputation as a player who was both aggressive and technically skilled. After college, Grier joined the Edmonton Oilers as a free agent in 1996. He spent three seasons with the Oilers, where he gained recognition for his fearless style of play and excellent penalty-killing abilities. Grier then played for the Washington Capitals, Buffalo Sabres, and San Jose Sharks over the span of his 16-year NHL career. During this time, he scored a total of 162 goals and 221 assists in 1060 games played.
