Pat Hickey Autograph

Pat Hickey was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on February 19, 1953, and grew up playing hockey. He began his professional career with the Nova Scotia Voyageurs of the American Hockey League in 1973, followed by a stint with the Montreal Canadiens the next year. He was then traded to the Los Angeles Kings in 1977, where he played for six seasons, scoring a career-high 38 goals in the 1979-80 season. Throughout his career, Hickey was known for his hard work and toughness on the ice. He was a gritty forward who wasn't afraid to get involved in physical play and was often called upon to defend his teammates. Despite his physical style of play, he was also a skilled goal scorer, tallying 166 goals and 153 assists in 684 NHL games. After retiring, Hickey went on to work as a hockey analyst for various media outlets, including TSN and The Hockey News. He was also involved in charity work and coached minor hockey in his hometown of Sydney.

In addition to his on-ice success, Hickey was also recognized for his contributions to the game off the ice. He was inducted into the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame in 1997, recognizing his achievements as a player and his ongoing work to promote minor hockey in the region. Hickey's legacy in the NHL continues to be celebrated by fans and hockey enthusiasts, who remember him as a talented and hardworking player who brought passion and intensity to every game he played.
