Paul Kariya is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who has made his mark on the game. Born on October 16, 1974, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Paul grew up playing minor league hockey for various teams in his hometown, including the Burnaby Winter Club, where he played alongside fellow future NHL star Joe Sakic. He then moved on to the University of Maine, where he played for a year before being drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. More about Paul Kariya

Kariya's NHL career spanned from 1994 to 2010, during which he played for four different teams: Anaheim Ducks, Colorado Avalanche, Nashville Predators, and St. Louis Blues. His best years were spent with the Ducks, where he was team captain and led the team to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2003. Kariya's speed, unmatched agility, and ability to put points on the board made him one of the most valuable players on the ice.
