Ray Bourque is a retired professional ice hockey player who achieved great success in his long and illustrious career. Bourque was born on December 28, 1960, in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, and was introduced to hockey at a young age. He played for various teams during his youth and eventually turned professional in 1979, when he was picked up by the Boston Bruins in the National Hockey League (NHL) draft. More about Ray Bourque

Bourque spent a total of 21 seasons in the NHL, 20 of which were with the Boston Bruins. During his time with the Bruins, Bourque became one of the most respected players in NHL history. He scored over 1,500 points and was named an All-Star 19 times. He also received many accolades during his career, including the James Norris Memorial Trophy for best defenseman five times, in addition to winning Olympic gold with team Canada in 2002.
