Saku Koivu Autographs

Saku Koivu is a famous ice hockey player who was born in Turku, Finland, in November 1974. Koivu started playing ice hockey at the age of six years old and showed promise in the sport from an early age. He began his professional career playing with TPS in Finland's top league, the SM-liiga, for three seasons before signing with the NHL's Montreal Canadiens in 1995. He played 13 seasons for Montreal and was the team's captain for 10 seasons.
Koivu had a successful ice hockey career, marked by many achievements and accolades. He played in the NHL for 18 seasons, scoring 255 goals and 832 points in 1,124 regular-season games. Koivu was known for his leadership skills, strong work ethic, and competitiveness on the ice. In 2001, he was diagnosed with cancer and missed most of the season, but he made a remarkable comeback and continued to play professionally until his retirement in 2014. Koivu also represented Finland in numerous international ice hockey tournaments, including four Olympic Games, winning a bronze medal in 1998.
Koivu is widely recognized as one of the best Finnish ice hockey players of all time. He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 2020 and his No. 11 jersey was retired by the Canadiens in 2015. In his retirement, Koivu continues to be involved with ice hockey, including serving as general manager for the Finnish national team.
