Tyler Myers is a Canadian professional ice hockey player born on February 1, 1990. He grew up playing minor ice hockey with his hometown team, the Calgary Buffaloes. Tyler was drafted in the first round, 12th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Myers began his professional hockey career with the Sabres during the 2009-2010 season, where he quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with. In his first year, he won the Calder Trophy as the NHL's best rookie. He continued to be a strong player for the next several seasons with the Sabres, contributing to their success on the ice. However, he was traded to the Winnipeg Jets in 2015, where he continued to excel.
