Scott Gomez is a retired American professional ice hockey center. He played in the National Hockey League for 16 seasons, playing for teams such as New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens, and San Jose Sharks. He was born on December 23, 1979, in Anchorage, Alaska, and began his hockey career with the Tri-City Americans in the Western Hockey League (WHL) during the 1996-97 season.
