Scott Gomez Autographs
Scott Gomez is a retired American professional ice hockey center. He played in the National Hockey League for 16 seasons, playing for teams such as New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens, and San Jose Sharks. He was born on December 23, 1979, in Anchorage, Alaska, and began his hockey career with the Tri-City Americans in the Western Hockey League (WHL) during the 1996-97 season.
Gomez was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the first round, 27th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry draft. During his rookie season with the Devils, he was awarded the Calder Memorial Trophy for the best rookie in the NHL in the 1999-2000 season. He helped lead the Devils to two Stanley Cup championships in 2000 and 2003. Throughout his career, he recorded 181 goals and 575 assists for a total of 756 points in 1079 NHL games.
Gomez was also a two-time NHL All-Star in 2000 and 2008, and he has represented the United States in the Olympics three times, winning a silver medal in 2010. In his later years of playing, he played for the Alaska Aces of the ECHL and enrolled in online college courses to complete his degree in psychology. With an impressive career and contributions to the sport of hockey both on and off the ice, Scott Gomez is a notable figure in the world of hockey.
