Alex Rios is a former professional baseball player who played in the Major Leagues for over a decade. Rios was born on February 18, 1981, in Coffee, Alabama, and grew up in Puerto Rico. He began playing baseball at a young age and was quickly noticed for his skills. During his time with the Blue Jays, Rios quickly became a force to be reckoned with in Major League Baseball. He recorded over 25 home runs and 80 RBI in three seasons, while also stealing over 15 bases in two of those seasons. In 2007, he was selected as an All-Star and finished the season with a .297 batting average, 24 home runs, and 85 RBI. Rios continued to play for the Blue Jays until 2009, when he was traded to the Chicago White Sox.

After being traded to the White Sox, Rios continued to play at a high level and helped lead the team to the playoffs in 2010. He had a career-high .304 batting average, 21 home runs, 88 RBI, and stole 34 bases that season. Rios continued to play for the White Sox until 2013, when he was traded to the Texas Rangers. Rios played his final season with the Kansas City Royals in 2015 before retiring from professional baseball in 2016.
