Craig Gentry Autographs
Craig Gentry was born on November 29, 1983, in Van Buren, Arkansas, USA. He is a former Major League Baseball outfielder who made his debut with the Texas Rangers in 2009. Gentry was a standout athlete in high school and was a three-sport star, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball. Despite being recruited to play college football, he decided to pursue baseball and attended the University of Arkansas, where he was named to the All-SEC team twice and was drafted by the Rangers in the 10th round of the 2006 MLB draft.
Gentry started his professional baseball career playing for the Rangers in the minor leagues before he made his MLB debut in 2009. Over the course of his career, he played for the Rangers, the Oakland Athletics, the Los Angeles Angels, and the Baltimore Orioles. Gentry was known for his speed and defensive ability and was often used as a pinch-runner or defensive replacement. He also had a solid batting average, hitting .263 over his nine-year career with 640 hits, 115 stolen bases, and a .334 on-base percentage.
Gentry's most notable season was in 2012, when he played for the Oakland Athletics and helped them win the American League West division title. He hit .304 in 240 at-bats, stole 13 bases, and made several highlight-reel defensive plays. After retiring from baseball in 2018, Gentry returned to Arkansas and started a cattle farm. He is still involved in baseball and is currently coaching at Alma High School in Arkansas.
