Erick Aybar Autographs
Erick Aybar is a former Dominican professional baseball shortstop. He was born on January 14, 1984, in Bani, Dominican Republic. Aybar began his professional baseball career at the age of 17 when he signed with the Los Angeles Angels as an international free agent in 2002.
Aybar made his major league debut in 2006, and he immediately displayed his exceptional defensive skills. He won his first Gold Glove award in 2011 for his exceptional fielding at the shortstop position. Aybar's defensive prowess helped him to establish himself as one of the most reliable shortstops in the league. He also excelled at the plate, serving as the leadoff hitter for the Angels and stealing 30 bases or more in three of his seasons with the team.
In 2016, Aybar was traded to the Atlanta Braves, where he played his final season in the major leagues. Afterward, he continued his baseball career in the minor leagues, playing for various teams before being released in 2019. In his twelve seasons in the major leagues, Aybar achieved an impressive batting average of .271, with 39 home runs, 184 stolen bases, and 1,144 hits. Erick Aybar has left an enduring legacy as one of the most reliable and skillful shortstops in recent history.
