He was first signed by the Los Angeles Angels in 2000 as an amateur free agent and made his MLB debut in 2005.
Santana had a successful career as a starting pitcher and played for various MLB teams, including the Angels, the Kansas City Royals, the Minnesota Twins, and the Atlanta Braves.
