Jeff Kent Autographs

Jeff KentJeff Kent is a retired American professional baseball player who spent 17 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a second baseman. Born on March 7, 1968, in Bellflower, California, Kent attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he played baseball for the Golden Bears. He was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 1989 and made his MLB debut with them in 1992. After three seasons with the Blue Jays, Kent played for the New York Mets, Cleveland Indians, San Francisco Giants, Houston Astros, and Los Angeles Dodgers before retiring in 2008.
Throughout his career, Jeff Kent was known for his outstanding offensive performance, especially his ability to hit home runs. He ended his career with a batting average of .290, 377 home runs, and 1,518 runs batted in (RBI). He was a six-time All-Star, a four-time Silver Slugger Award winner, and won the National League Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2000 while playing for the Giants. Kent was also a great defensive infielder and won four Gold Glove Awards. He was one of the most productive second basemen in the history of the MLB and is considered one of the best power-hitting second basemen of all time.
Jeff Kent's career was not without controversy, however. He was known for his combative personality and often clashed with his teammates and managers. In 2002, while playing for the Giants, he famously broke his wrist in a motorcycle accident, which he tried to initially hide from his team. He was also the subject of a highly publicized feud with Barry Bonds, with whom he played for the Giants. Despite his controversies, Kent's impressive stats and contributions to the game earned him a spot in the All-Time San Francisco Giants Team and in the Giants' Wall of Fame.
