John Buck is a former professional baseball player who spent 11 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a catcher. Buck was born on July 7, 1980, in Kemmerer, Wyoming, and he grew up playing baseball in Taylorsville, Utah. Buck made his MLB debut with the Astros in 2004, but he spent most of his early career bouncing between several different teams. In 2010, Buck signed with the Toronto Blue Jays, and it was there that he had some of the best seasons of his career. In 2010, he hit a career-high 20 home runs and was named to the American League All-Star team.
