Miguel Sano is a Dominican professional baseball player who currently plays as third baseman for the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball (MLB). Sano was born on May 11, 1993, in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. He started playing baseball at a very young age and was known for his power hitting and strong arm. Sano signed with the Minnesota Twins in 2009 as a free agent and made his MLB debut in 2015.
Sano's baseball career has been a mix of highs and lows. He had a great start to his baseball career, making the MLB All-Star team in 2017, where he hit 28 home runs and had an overall batting average of .264. However, Sano had to miss a significant amount of playing time in 2018 and 2019 due to injuries. In 2020, he bounced back and showed his power-hitting skills once again, with a six-game hitting streak, including four home runs in those six games.
