Rex Hudler was born on September 2nd, 1960, in Tempe, Arizona. He attended Bullard High School in Fresno, California where he played baseball and football, earning All-City honors in both sports. After high school, he attended San Diego State University where he played baseball and was drafted by the New York Yankees in the first round of the 1978 Major League Baseball draft. In a career that spanned from 1984 to 1998, Rex played for the Yankees, the Baltimore Orioles, the Montreal Expos, the St. Louis Cardinals, the California Angels and the Philadelphia Phillies.
