In 1950, Bob Cousy moved to professional basketball after he was drafted by the Boston Celtics. He quickly emerged as the team's star player, known for his quick pace on the court, mastery of dribbling skills, and pinpoint passing. Cousy led Boston to seven straight NBA championships from 1957 until 1963 and earned himself the title of NBA's most valuable player in 1957. His exceptional play made him one of the league's top point guards throughout the 1950s and early 1960s.

Bob Cousy retired in 1963, after playing 13 seasons in the NBA. During his time as a player, he revolutionized the point guard position by introducing the fast break, new passing techniques and becoming the first to implement the behind-the-back dribble. Cousy’s contributions to the game of basketball led to his induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1971. In 1996, the NBA named him one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History. Bob Cousy is undoubtedly one of the most influential basketball players of all time, and his legacy will live on for many generations to come. Read even more about Bob Cousy at Wikipedia
