Aaron Ross is a former American football player who played as a cornerback for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). Born on September 15, 1982, in San Antonio, Texas, Ross developed a passion for football during his high school days at John Tyler High School. He played college football at the University of Texas, where he was part of the Longhorns team that won the national championship in 2005.
After an impressive college career, Ross was selected in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, which he played for over two stints. In his rookie year, he made significant contributions to the team's success, helping them to win Super Bowl XLII. He played for the Giants from 2007 to 2011 before transferring to the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he played for two seasons. Ross retired from the NFL in 2014 after one season with the Baltimore Ravens.
In his professional football career, Aaron Ross was regarded as one of the best cornerbacks in the league, renowned for his agility, speed, and athleticism. He played a total of 82 games in the NFL, registering 11 interceptions, three forced fumbles, and 288 tackles.
