Darrelle Revis Autographs
Darrelle Revis is a retired American football cornerback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. He was born on July 14, 1985, in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, and attended the University of Pittsburgh where he played college football. In 2007, Revis was drafted in the first round (14th overall) by the New York Jets and began his professional career as a cornerback.
Revis' career as a cornerback was nothing short of impressive. He had the nickname "Revis Island" because he was notoriously known for shutting down his opponent's wide receivers. Revis was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, a four-time First-Team All-Pro, and won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in 2009. He spent time with multiple teams throughout his career, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, and Kansas City Chiefs, but he's best known for his time with the Jets. Revis helped lead the Jets to appearances in the AFC Championship Game in 2009 and 2010 but was unable to win a Super Bowl title.
In the summer of 2020, Revis announced his retirement from the NFL. He left behind a legacy as one of the greatest cornerbacks in NFL history. Revis' speed, agility, and ability to read the game made him a dominant force on the field. Despite the fact that he never won a Super Bowl, Revis will always be remembered as a player who could single-handedly change a game and impact the outcome.
