Sanchez then attended the University of Southern California, where he continued his football career as the starting quarterback for the USC Trojans. He led his team to a 12-1 record and a Rose Bowl victory in his sophomore year, earning him All-Pac-10 honors. In his junior year, he led his team to a perfect 12-0 record and another Rose Bowl victory, earning him first-team All-American honors and a finalist spot for the Heisman Trophy. After his junior year, Sanchez declared for the NFL Draft, where he was selected fifth overall by the New York Jets.

Sanchez played for the Jets for four seasons, leading them to two AFC Championship games in his first two years. He had a solid rookie season, throwing for 2,444 yards and 12 touchdowns, and continued to improve in his second year with 3,291 yards and 17 touchdowns. However, his career was plagued by injuries and inconsistent play, leading to his release from the Jets in 2014. He then played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, and Washington Redskins over the next few years before retiring in 2019. Despite the ups and downs of his NFL career, Sanchez remains a respected and beloved figure in the world of American football. Read even more about Mark Sanchez at Wikipedia
