Drew Stanton is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons. He was born on May 7, 1984, in Okemos, Michigan, and started his football career at Michigan State University. During his time at MSU, he was a three-year starter and led his team to a Big Ten Conference Championship in 2004. Stanton was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft and spent four seasons with the team before moving on to play for other teams.
Stanton's most successful season in the NFL came in 2014 when he played for the Arizona Cardinals. In this season, he played in eight games, starting three of them, and threw for 1094 yards and seven touchdowns. The Cardinals went 11-5 that season, and Stanton played a crucial role in helping his team reach the playoffs. Throughout his career, Drew Stanton played for five different teams in the NFL, including the Lions, the New York Jets, the Indianapolis Colts, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Cleveland Browns.
In May of 2021, Stanton announced his retirement from the NFL after playing for 12 seasons. He was widely respected by his teammates and coaches for his leadership, work ethic, and dedication to the game.
