Michael Bush was a former American Football player. He was born on June 16, 1984, in Louisville, Kentucky, and grew up in the city. Bush attended Male High School in Louisville, where he broke several school records and earned All-State honors twice as a running back. His exceptional high school career granted him a scholarship to the University of Louisville, where he further excelled in American Football.
While at the University of Louisville, Michael Bush became one of the best players in the school's football history. In his junior year, he rushed for 1,143 yards and 23 touchdowns in just nine games, despite breaking his leg in the first quarter of the season. In his senior year, he rushed for 1,045 yards and 14 touchdowns in eleven games. He finished his college career with 2,508 rushing yards, 39 touchdowns, and many accolades, including being named Big East Offensive Player of the Year.
After his remarkable college career, Michael Bush entered the NFL draft in 2007. The Oakland Raiders selected him in the fourth round, and he played for them for four seasons. During his time with the Raiders, Bush set a career-high of 977 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in the 2011 season. He then signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears in 2012, totaling 411 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Despite his brief stint in the NFL, Michael Bush had a profound impact in American Football and remains an inspiration to many aspiring players.
