Ty Detmer Autographs
Ty Detmer is a former professional American Football quarterback who played for the Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions. Born in San Marcos, Texas in 1967, Detmer grew up in the small town of Orchard, Texas where he played high school football. He later attended Brigham Young University (BYU) in Utah where he became one of the most successful quarterbacks in college football history.
Detmer was a three-time All-American and won the Heisman Trophy in 1990 while leading BYU to a 28-21 victory over the University of California in the 1990 Holiday Bowl. During his college career, Detmer threw for over 15,000 yards and 121 touchdowns. He set 59 NCAA records and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2012.
Detmer was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the ninth round of the 1992 NFL Draft. He played for the Packers for three seasons before being traded to the Eagles in 1996. During his career, Detmer threw for over 6,000 yards and 34 touchdowns. He retired in 2007 and began a career as a high school football coach. Today, Detmer is remembered as one of the greatest quarterbacks in college football history and a solid NFL player.
