Brad Richards Autograph

Brad Richards is a Canadian former professional ice hockey center. He was born on May 2, 1980, in Murray Harbour, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Richards began his hockey career at a young age, and at the age of 16, he joined the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Rimouski Océanic. He played for the Océanic for three seasons, where he became the team’s leading scorer and was named the QMJHL’s Most Valuable Player in the 1999-2000 season. More about Brad Richards

In 1998, Richards was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the third round of the NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in the 2000-2001 season and quickly became an important player for the Lightning. Richards played with the team for seven seasons and won his first Stanley Cup with them in 2004. He also won the Conn Smythe Trophy that year for being the most valuable player in the playoffs. Richards went on to play for several other teams, including the Dallas Stars, New York Rangers, and Detroit Red Wings, before retiring in 2016.

Throughout his career, Richards was known for his playmaking ability, vision on the ice, and leadership skills. He played in two NHL All-Star games and represented Team Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics, winning a gold medal. Apart from his success on the ice, Richards is also known for his philanthropy work.
