Brandon Saad Autographs
Brandon Saad was born on October 27, 1992, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is an American professional ice hockey player who currently plays left-wing for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is known for his excellent speed, strength, and skill on the ice. Saad began his hockey journey by playing for the Gibsonia-based Pittsburgh Aviators when he was just four years old. At the age of fifteen, he moved to Michigan to play for the elite ice hockey program called the Compuware Major Midget team. Later, Saad was drafted by the Saginaw Spirit in the third round of the 2008 OHL Priority Selection.
Saad's advanced skills and dedication to the game made him earn a spot in the NHL in 2011, as he was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the second round. He played for the Blackhawks from 2011-2015, and during that time, he made a name for himself as a fierce forward with great scoring ability. In his second season with the Blackhawks, Saad helped his team win the Stanley Cup by tallying sixteen points in twenty-three games. He was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2015, but he returned to the Blackhawks in 2017 before getting traded to the Colorado Avalanche in 2020.
Throughout his career, Saad has proven himself to be an outstanding player with an impressive record. In his rookie season with the Blackhawks, he scored twenty-seven goals and forty-one points in seventy-eight games, which helped him secure the nomination for the Calder Trophy as the league's top rookie. He has played more than 600 games in the NHL and has scored over 150 goals and 150 assists, respectively. Currently, Saad is playing his first season with the Colorado Avalanche and helping his team in its quest for the Stanley Cup.
