Cory Schneider is a former professional ice hockey goaltender born in Marblehead, Massachusetts, in 1986. He began his hockey career at the age of 12 and played for the select team Boston Junior Eagles. After going through the junior ranks, he then played for Phillips Academy Andover, where he earned All-New England and All-ISL team honors. In his first few seasons with the Canucks, Cory played backup to Roberto Luongo, but he still managed to impress with his performances. In the 2010-11 season, he played in 25 regular season games and recorded a .928 save percentage, the fourth-highest in the league. After Luongo was traded to the Florida Panthers in 2013, Cory became the starting goaltender for the Canucks, where he became one of the NHL's top netminders.
