Craig Anderson is a former American professional baseball player who was born on April 30, 1962, in Portland, Oregon. Anderson had a promising baseball career from a young age and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 11th round of the 1983 MLB draft. He played for various minor league teams, including the Macon Pirates, Salem Buccaneers, and Buffalo Bisons, before making his major league debut in 1986 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Anderson spent five seasons in the major leagues, playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, and Boston Red Sox. He was a left-handed relief pitcher and played a total of 150 games, with a career record of 7-8 and an ERA of 3.91. He also recorded 3 saves and struck out 93 batters in 153 innings pitched. Anderson retired from professional baseball in 1992 after spending the final years of his career playing in the minor leagues.
