George Parros is a retired professional ice hockey player of Greek descent. He was born on December 29, 1979, in Washington, Pennsylvania, and raised in New Jersey. Parros started playing hockey at a young age and was a member of the Princeton High School team, where he was the team captain during his senior year. After high school, he played for the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League (USHL) before attending Princeton University, where he played for the Princeton Tigers from 1999 to 2003. Parros also founded the George Parros Foundation, which supports military personnel and their families as well as promotes education and sports programs for children.
