Kris Draper Autographs
Kris Draper is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player, who played 20 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). Draper was born on May 24, 1971, in Toronto, Ontario, and began his professional career in 1989 when he was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets. He started his career as a defenseman but later switched to play as a center.
Draper is best known for his time with the Detroit Red Wings, where he spent 17 seasons and played an integral role in their success during the late 1990s and early 2000s. He was known for his penalty-killing skills and his ability to win faceoffs. Draper was part of the "Grind Line" along with teammates Joe Kocur and Darren McCarty, which became one of the most effective fourth lines in NHL history.
Draper won four Stanley Cup championships with the Red Wings, in 1997, 1998, 2002, and 2008. He also won the Selke Trophy as the NHL's top defensive forward in 2004. Draper retired from professional hockey in 2011 after playing his final two seasons with the Red Wings' farm team, the Grand Rapids Griffins. After his retirement, Draper joined the Red Wings management team as a special assistant to the general manager, where he continues to serve today.
