Aroldis Chapman is a renowned Cuban-American baseball pitcher who was born on February 28, 1988, in Holguin, Cuba. He began playing baseball at an early age, and by the age of 15, he was already a member of the Cuban national youth team. Chapman continued to hone his skills and by 21, he joined Holguin Sabuesos, a Cuban National Series team. His exceptional talent on the mound got him scouted by various Major League Baseball (MLB) teams, and in 2009, he defected from Cuba to pursue a career in the United States. After arriving in the US, Chapman signed with the Cincinnati Reds and joined their minor league team. He quickly rose through the ranks and made his MLB debut in 2010.
