Boomer Esiason Autographs
Boomer Esiason is a retired American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons, from 1984 to 1997. He was born on April 17, 1961 in West Islip, New York, and attended the University of Maryland where he played college football. Esiason was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 1984 NFL draft, and played for the Bengals for most of his career.
During his time with the Bengals, Esiason led the team to their second Super Bowl appearance in 1988. Although they lost to the San Francisco 49ers, Esiason had an outstanding season that year, throwing for over 3,500 yards and 28 touchdowns. He was named the NFL Most Valuable Player and also earned his first Pro Bowl selection. Esiason continued to play for the Bengals until 1992, when he signed with the New York Jets, where he played for three seasons.
After retiring from football in 1997, Esiason became a popular broadcaster and analyst, and is currently a co-host of the popular talk show, "Boomer and Gio," on WFAN in New York City. He is also known for his work with various charitable organizations, including the Boomer Esiason Foundation, which raises funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis research. Esiason's impact on the NFL and the world off the field continues to be felt to this day, and he remains one of the most beloved and respected figures in the world of American football.
