Throughout his career, Groza was known for his exceptional kicking abilities. He was one of the first players to use a soccer-style kicking technique, which revolutionized the way kickers approached their job on the field. Groza's kicking abilities played a crucial role in the Browns' success in the 1940s and 1950s, as he was responsible for many of their game-winning field goals. In addition to his kicking prowess, Groza was also a skilled offensive tackle, playing a key role in the Browns' powerful offensive line.

Groza's contributions to the Browns' success were recognized in 1974 when he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. After retiring from football in 1967, Groza went on to establish a successful business career. He owned a successful restaurant chain and became involved in real estate development. Despite his success off the field, Groza will always be remembered as one of the greatest players in Cleveland Browns history, and as a pioneer of the modern kicking game.
