Sidney Rice Autographs
Sidney Rice is a retired American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons. He was born on September 1, 1986, in Gaffney, South Carolina, and grew up playing football in high school. Rice began his college career playing for South Carolina, where he set numerous records and was named an All-American before being drafted to the NFL.
Rice was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he made an immediate impact, catching 31 passes for 396 yards and four touchdowns. Rice quickly became a favorite target for quarterback Brett Favre during his time with the Vikings. In 2009, Rice had a breakout year, catching 83 passes for 1,312 yards and eight touchdowns, helping lead the Vikings to the NFC Championship Game.
After his time with the Vikings, Rice played for the Seattle Seahawks and the Carolina Panthers before retiring in 2014 due to a recurring shoulder injury. Throughout his career, Rice proved to be a dominant force on the field, earning numerous accolades, including being named to the Pro Bowl in 2009. Though his time on the field was short, Rice left a lasting impact on the NFL and will always be remembered as one of the game's greatest receivers.
